HMRC Launch Online PAYE Management Tool

In an extension to their existing online PAYE services, HMRC have announced the launch of the PAYE Desktop Viewer (PDV).

The purpose of the PDV will be to allow any employer or agent registered for PAYE online to view, check and manage coding notices and related material issued to users of the online service. Further information can be found at:

Practitioners will no doubt welcome any initiatives that will assist them in this area, although it will do little to resolve the problem of the accuracy of coding notices, which continues to frustrate agents who frequently find themselves with irrecoverable costs, through having to contact HMRC to obtain amendments.
