Peter Fry

Peter is a Tax Consultant with over 25 years experience within Tax specialising in owner managed businesses of all types.

Having started with the Inland Revenue in 1980's Peter moved on to work for a number of accountants of various sizes.  Peter started his professional career with a small local practice before moving onto Price Waterhouse dealing with expatriate tax issues for multi- nationals. He moved on to mid tier accountants dealing with issues relating to their clients. Many of these were large landowners which started Peter's interest in the particular problems and taxation issues for farmers. This includes a firm grounding in Inheritance Tax issues that all taxpayers face.

Peter worked for Baker Tilly dealing with a wide variety of clients from large professional practices to high net worth individuals. Whilst working with these he continued to build on his extensive tax planning expertise working with in house IFA's to produce an all round package for clients.

Peter has also worked in industry for a farm consultancy as their only in house tax expert.

Peter has helped develop a much respected tax helpline service for accountants. Similar to the Professional Tax Consultants helpline it covered all taxes providing support particularly for accountants who do not have a dedicated tax team. Peter has also provided more in depth planning work for accountants and other businesses.

Peter also lectures to a number of local branches of professional bodies such as AAT and ACCA on various tax issues.
